TENTECHULAR DIS:PLEASURES #1

WIEN MUSEUM COLLECTION (Sammlung Wien Museum), Vienna (AT), 2020

Sound installation

Sound collage (20:51 min., looped)

Tentechular Object #1: Sweet laces (fruit gum), chain & 2 trigger hooks (steel)

Tentechular Object #2: Stress ball (silicone), nipple clamps, rope

Tentechular Dis:Pleasures #1 translates the series‘ basic question about the tentacularity of sound between analog and digital qualities, displeasure and pleasure into a choreographed spatial installation.

At the entrance, Tentechular Object #1, a chain hung with green fruit gum laces, invites you to grab and eat. When entering the first darkened room, the sound collage becomes physically tangible.

The second, quiet room is dominated by Tentechular Object #2: a neon yellow stress ball hanging from the ceiling. Different forms of touch produce different sound qualities during the interaction.
