Sound installation (Drying hood, bluetooth-speaker, mp3-player); sound editing: Valerio Zanini
You're at Home, Baby is an audio-poetic inquiry into the individual and collective politics of home and belonging.
For the installation, a drying hood was turned into an acoustic hood. The audience is invited to listen to and interact with a sound collage inspired by two more recent youtube phenomena: ASMR* and Binaural Beats** which are supposed to likewise trigger “brain orgasms“ and to provide a state of relaxation similar to meditation. It consists of a cat purr base line created with an online binaural beats generator and my voice mostly speaking and whispering in an ASMR-mode.
